Jede Nacht ein Mädchen ging
Um den Mond sich anzusehn
Blumen dufteten lieblich
Und sie war so glücklich

Einmal in der dunklen Nacht
Streifte sie vergeblich einher
Irrte zwischen grauen Gebäuden
Aber die Wiese gab es nicht mehr

Das Mädchen suchte lange Zeit
Endlich fand sie eine Wiese
Steine als Erinnerungen weit und breit
Rote Leuchten warn entfacht

Sollte das unser einziger Garten sein?
Blumen dufteten im Mondenschein
Das Mädchen schlief dort jede Nacht
Sie liebte ihn mehr als die graue Stadt
